Project Summary:
To wrap up a unit section on world mythology, students learned about monsters and creatures in and across different cultures' mythologies. They then used this information to create a new mythological monster or creature that integrated the elements of different monsters and creatures discussed in class. Each student selected elements to use, wrote descriptions of the element and why it was selected, and used AI or printed images to "build" their monster. They then used common characteristics found in world mythology to develop myths about their monsters and their origin.
